It is with mixed feelings that Marblehead Pediatrics announces the departure of Dr. Philomena Asante effective July 1, 2014.

Dr. Asante joined us four years ago from Boston Childrens Hospital Ambulatory Services and has brought great warmth, care and consideration to her patients and their families in our practice. With a Masters in Public Health from Harvard, she has decided to pursue her pediatric interests in a wonderful opportunity for public health initiatives for the children of Boston. We are excited for her, wish her well, and will greatly miss her contribution to the care of children in our area. We look forward to hearing about her work and projects in the future.

September, 2010: Flu Vaccines

The AAP recommends that ALL children ages 6 months and older get flu vaccines.

We have received our shipment of flu vaccines. Children under nine years of age who did not receive TWO H1N1 vaccines last season will need TWO doses of flu vaccine this year a month apart. We recommend that all children ages six months to 18 years receive flu vaccines this fall. The H1N1 will be included in this year’s seasonal flu vaccine.

Nasal flu vaccine is available for qualified children two years and over but requires patient cooperation.

July, 2010: Please join us in welcoming our new associate, Dr. Philomena Asante, to Marblehead Pediatrics!
